The Essential Market is seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual who displays strong creativity, organizational skills, time management, and the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with clients on behalf of the company. The candidate must have extensive graphic design, artwork and printing knowledge and serve as a leader within the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in graphic design, with leadership experience managing a team
• An understanding of The Essential Market’s design aesthetic and a keen eye for detail
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Extensive knowledge of all file types and the ability to convert + create as necessary
• Experience in technical preparation of graphics for print and production
• Ability to work under tight timelines and manage deadlines
• Effective communication and time management skills in a remote-first environment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversight of design operations, including providing client contact, managing design proofing process, and serving as a liaison between Clients and Designers.
• Create graphics and artwork to meet Client requests.
• Manage 2-3 members of the Design Team and delegate work as necessary to meet deadlines
• Provide expertise and consultation to the Design Team for graphic design and maintain quality control for all design files before production.
• Provide support in the management of TEM's portfolio of designs and artwork database.

‎DETAILS:

• This is a remote position; Austin-based preferred, but not mandatory
• Estimated 30 - 40 hours a week with ability to increase/descrease as needed
• Flexible work schedule during business hours (M-F, 9am - 5pm)
• This position reports directly to the co-founder of the company and oversees members of the Design Team.
